Pajama/Teddy Bear Day

I volunteered at Owen's school last Thursday because they were having their Halloween party. They don't dress up but they had a wear your Pj's/bring your favorite teddy bear day. Claire ended up tagging along and she had a blast. Owen brought his Hunting Bear and won the best dressed award. Claire had no desire to bring a bear so she brought her wiener dog. She calls it Wien-Wien. Let me tell you how hard Mrs. McDonald laughed when she asked Claire what her puppy's name was!!! Owen was a little out of his element having Mommy at school. I think he does WAY better when I'm not there....at least that is what his teacher assured me:-) It was really fun to see how all the kiddos interact with each other and to see all their different personalities. Claire is SOOOOO looking forward to next year!

Cute Cousins

Kenzie, Ricky and Hunter came up for a visit and we had a very fun three days. Molly, Sean , Clayton and Parker of course had to join in the fun. This was the first time the Smiths got to meet baby Clayton.

Playing House

I LOVE all the imaginary play these kiddos do. Claire and Owen have been making a "house" on the landing and playing babies. They also set up little photo shoots (that's weird, not sure where they have seen that before??) for their babies. So stinkin' cute! I can remember doing this for hours when I was young.

Brad Got the JOB!

We are really excited for, and proud of our Daddy....He got the job that he interviewed for last week. It came as quite a shock really. Brad went into the interview with fairly low expectations as the pool of people who interviewed was pretty big and everyone was more than qualified. There haven't been promotions at WSDOT for a while now and there won't be for a long time (probably years). The new job brings Brad into my office! They assured him that this was perfectly ethical as Brad's new job makes him responsible for people and projects in Construction and I work solely in Design. He is super excited and a little nervous, but we know he will be AWESOME! Congrats Daddy!

It was 73 Today!

Here are some CUTE pics I took at the park today. Claire and I dropped Owen off at school then went back home finished our chores, packed lunches, picked Brother up from school, then went to the park. It was a perfect fall day, we couldn't pass up the sunshine or the photo ops!!!!

Making Some Improvements

Brad had to put a cover on the chicken yard, it was getting pretty....we'll just say yucky! Claire is quite the chicken wrangler/farmer! She was also "helping" Daddy a bit!

I burned this hole in my sweater 2 years ago. I finally bought this patch at the craft store in BG for a dollar and ta-da a new sweater!
Since my sweater project only took about 5 minutes (it was an iron on) I thought I would make a few cards...this is what I came up with. And that was my 45 minutes to myself.
