Mermorial Day Camping in the Rain, Again

Getting on the road. Owen was ready to go. He had been talking about camping all week. Check out the rain through Owen's window!

Camp life, shelters and warm fires!

After a night of pouring down rain, we woke up Saturday am to a bit of rain inside, but still happy campers. The kids both slept great!

Packing up a day early:-(

Good thing we had some engineers on hand!
On our way out of the camping park Molly, the kids and I went swimming (yes it had an indoor pool, sooooo awesome) and the men went fishing!

Back at the ranch (aka our house). Nice fish Brad and Sean. Okay mostly Sean, I think one of those are Brad's!

Call us brave, call us crazy! We had so much fun in spite of the rain. The kids had no idea that it sucks camping in the rain. They sat by the fire, ate Cheetos, Ritz, fruit bars and juice for dinner, and slept like champs to the sound of torrential downpours on our tent. We did leave a day early, but that was more because of the adults! It of course was beautiful the rest of the afternoon after we left but our sleeping bags etc. were to wet to try another night, rain or no rain. We came home cleaned up, ate the awesome dinner that was planned for camping and watched a movie with Molly and Sean. Pretty great weekend if you ask us. Best part....It's only Saturday!

Still Loves Crafts

I took on a wedding invitation project for some friends. Last week I was doing the final assembly, when Claire was napping OF COURSE, and Owen wanted to "do some crafts mama". He did stickers, colored, organized, and scissors! Yes scissors. For all of you that know Owen the scissors are not a worry at all he is very careful and really tries hard to do what you tell him. He was very proud of himself, though I think he only made one actual cut.

Ice Cream

Owen eating his first ice cream cone...he's had plenty from a dish (I know you were all thinking we were mean parents:-). Owen was of course super careful and licked his lips after every bite. And Claire Jean gobbling down her dish, there was no being careful! Brad was having a daddy night because I had to work late and he took the kiddo to McD's for burgers and ice cream.

My Beautiful Sister - 35 1/2 Weeks

I took some pictures of Molly and her ever growing baby bump and some of the proud mommy and daddy-to-be together. They turned out great, as you can see...she looks beautiful! Check out her blog for more shots.

Cuteness

I haven't bought a decoration for my house forever, which makes my husband VERY happy. But then...My sister had one of these uppercase living parties (where the sell vinyl wall words) and I fell in love with this one.

My Baby!

We had Claire and Owen's old bouncy chair out for baby hunter but Sissy decided she wanted to be the baby. She looked so big, it made me sad! I'm finally ok with calling Owen James my big boy, but I'm not ready for sissy to be a big girl yet! Isn't there a stop growing button I can push?

Mother's Day/Sparky's Birthday

Happy Mother's Day (a little late) to all you glorious Mothers out there. I feel so blessed that god gave me the gift of motherhood. These babies are my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Owen James made me this sweet finger print craft at MOPS and he was so proud of himself, "my finners mama", he says. My sister Katie and the kiddos made these cute flower pots. Bradley made us breakfast Sunday morning which was the sweetest thing because not only was it Mother's Day, but he got up early on HIS BIRTHDAY to make us breakfast! He's a keeper. For his birthday Claire, Owen and I took him out for Mexican, his favorite. I couldn't ask for a better man to split my holiday with. 31 years young, Happy Birthday Sparky!

Baby Shower....Molly, Sean, and Baby Boy

We threw Molly, Sean and their baby boy a shower this last weekend. I think the final count was 68 people.....crazy! It was so much fun and Molly and Sean are blessed to have such great friends and family. I know how much they appreciate everything everyone has done for, and bought for them. Yippee, he is almost here! For more pictures check out Molly's blog. There is a link in my side bar.

Visiting Baby Hunter at Home

Sunday we visited Baby Hunter at his house! The kiddos were so excited. I love seeing these babies all together.
