Lewisville Park

Today we had planned to go into town, take the kids to the open swim at the pool, probably go for lunch then back home. But then we reminded ourselves that we are NOT spending money in an effort to get back on track financially. Instead we went to Lewisville park and had the most fun. They put in all new toys in the main playground and the kids LOVED it. We played, walked a few miles and of course stopped a few times along the river to throw some rocks. Then we came home for some PB&J's. Cost of fun filled day at the pool/lunch - probably $30.00. Cost of fun filled day at park/PB&J's - $0.00, priceless.

Birthday Fun - Round 2

Thanks Great Gram for sending Claire this adorable fairy princess mobile. I asked Claire where she wanted to hang it and she said "in potty". She really loves the potty these days. It made it's way to the curtain rod in her bedroom and looks much better there!

Grandma and Grandpa Clark stayed with us Wednesday night and we had another little birthday celebration for Beauty. So cute Owen helping Daddy "read" the directions to Claire's new sit and spin. Thanks Grandpa Jeff and Amma Ceal for a very fun visit!

Christmas Again

Our Amaryllis finally bloomed!

Out of the House

We needed to get out of the house and a walk in the park is always a good idea. The kids love throwing rocks in the water (thanks to some winter maintenance, there was some new drain rock close to shore) and of course playing on the toys. I love having Battle Ground Lake as a neighbor, so easy to get along with:-) Look at my handsome husband. Rarely do we take pictures of just ourselves, but I couldn't resist. HE IS CUTE!

Claire Jean, Our Two Year Old

Pre Birthday party fun! Papa and Amma came over to spend Claire's Birthday with us. They had fun snuggling and reading books before the festivities began.
The little guys.

The presents....Thanks everyone for spoiling our Birthday girl.

Party Time! Look at this Birthday Girl...so CUTE!

Tracey Girl (she watches Owen and Claire)
Cousin Parker
Vivian (next door neighbor)
Cousin Hunter
Max (next door neighbor-6 days older than Claire)
Brother (was excited but had a bit of a hard time sharing the spotlight)
Then it was time for kitty cake and making a Birthday wish.
Hunter got to have a tiny little taste too.

We had a Wednesday evening dinner party for Claire Jean's 2nd Birthday. What a great time. Grandpa and Grandma Clark were even able to be there to watch Beauty blow out her candles and eat her kitty cake via Skype. Thanks Amma Debbie for helping and thanks to everyone for making Beauty's day so special!
Now we have a two year old.....CRAZY!

Birthday Theme - Kitty's

I asked Claire what kind of Birthday she wanted. Without skipping a beat she said "kitty"! It's not the most popular theme, but turned out sooo cute. Even at this age a girl knows what she wants. My mom and I made this cute kitty cake....a big hit!

Skype....

We have arrived.....

The kids have been Skype-ing Grandpa and Grandma Clark. It's very cute. If anyone out there wants to be added to our Skype contacts leave us a comment. It's free and so much fun!

Color in a Dreary Winter Month

Here is my interpretation. I chose this for two reasons....

1.) It reminds me of good friends. The weekend we spent in Bend, Sarah and Josh made fodue for New Years Eve dinner. I was the crazy girl that wouldn't let them throw out the left over bread that got all dried out. Um...look at this from scratch stuffing, how could we waste all that good bread.

2.) It is so colorful. Green and orange and brown, BEAUTIFUL. I think you can taste color too, right? The more colorful, the better somthing tastes.

Blogging to a Theme

A fun idea....

In an effort to take joy in the little things in my life, I am joining my friend Elizabeth in a project she created, Blogging to a theme. She picks a theme each month, then the point is to pay attention to the little moments in your life that fit that theme. Check out her blog (The Souders, in my blog roll) if you are interested in joining the fun. Be looking for my "color in a dreary winter month" moment.

This month's theme: color in a dreary winter month

Ringing in the New Year

Kids having a great time....

Adults having a great time...
What a great way to ring in the new year....In Bend with the best friends we could have. It was a long slow adventure getting there, especially with Owen wearing big boy undies now. We made yellow snow 3 times! Everyone had a blast. Welcome 2011, we are ready for YOU!
