Nine Years

Yesterday was our 9 year wedding anniversary, and I'm still loving this guy! Brad tried to surprise me with flowers but my sweet daughter spilled the beans. They were beautiful non-the-less!  Then before our delicious fresh steelhead dinner, he surprised me with new earrings. What a sweet man. I was thinking all day what to get Sparky, then decided on nice big fat shrimp from the butcher and cocktail sauce.  A funny gift I know, but he has been asking for a while to which I normally reply that's kinda spendy.
Cheers to us!!

The Allen's visit

Claire and Shaunna playing Barbies.  Not sure who was more excited!  This is also a great example of one of Claire outfits, she is LOVING picking out her own cloths!

Having a little rest time.

Lots of being outside.  The weather was great even though it really wasn't supposed to be, yippee!

We had this little visitor at dinner, soooooo stinkin' cute!

Brad and Sy were at a Bachelor party so they missed all the fun!  We had a great visit and are looking forward to another visit next month!

Happy 2nd Birthday Park Park

Here are some pics of Parker's Monster Jam 2nd Birthday Party.  Love you buddy!

Pullman WA, Here We Come!

We had a great trip to Pullman, WA over Father's Day weekend.  We left town around 2 Thursday night and drove as far as Yakima, we had dinner with a friend from college and then stayed the night in a hotel. This was our first hotel stay without pack-n-plays (it's been a while).  The kids shared a queen and we had a queen.  SO FUN!

Friday morning we ate a free breakfast and hit the road to Pullman.  The drive was actually pretty cool, lots to see and talk about with the kids and we covered some ground that neither Brad or I have ever driven.  Sweet Mirabel was the main reason for our visit and we had so much fun getting to know her.  The kids couldn't get enough and are still talking about her.

Saturday morning we took a short drive out to Karee's family farm.  Owen was in heaven with all the tractors and old trucks etc.....I think Daddy was too!

After the farm we hit the pool!

After breakfast Sunday morning we let the kiddos get some energy out before the 6.5 hour drive we had ahead of us.  Matt and Karee are surrounded by parks and trails so again the kiddos were loving life!  They got some good bike riding practice in for our cabin trip in a couple weeks.

We've Got Another Nester

This little mama built her nest right at the side door on the garage.  We are looking forward to seeing the eggs hatch (there are 3 eggs in there as of today).  I'll keep you posted.

Seatbelts, Eyepatches, and Shopping

Owen is 40.5 lbs. This is kind of a big deal because he can use the seat belt (with his car seat or a booster of course).  He loves it!

Claire, the ever supportive sister fashions an eye patch made out of a goodwill price tag. CUTE!

We were at the bucket sale at Wilco and the kiddos insisted on a pic....lucky for them I had my camera in my purse.

Chuga-Chuga Choo-Choo

The JoJo's came up on the train for a super fun visit. These kiddos kept the JoJo busy, reading books, playing monster trucks, tea parties, you know..  Thanks JoJo's for dinner and a great weekend.

Owen's Last Days of School

Crazy Hair Day!
Last Day Activities - Parachute, Hop Scotch, Bikes, Lunch

Last Day Awards - Mrs. McDonald asked Owen what his favorite part about school was, to which he replied "singing" (maybe we should have stood and sang at the spring program then:-).  Then she asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, to which he replied, "a builder".  Cue mommy's tears!

 Owen and Mrs. McDonald
Owen and Mr. Kasey (the class helper)

We are so proud of our little man.  He just grew leaps and bounds this year and we are so thankful to his GREAT school and teachers who helped him along the way.
