Owen's First Day of School

 

 

 

Owen was all about going back to school.  He was ready 2 months ago!  He went in Brad, Sissy and I smoothed him, then he pretty much ignored us.  He was ready for us to go.  I'm so proud of him.  On the way to dropping him off we had to follow a school bus and he said "next year when I'm in big boy school I get to ride the bus".  I said "yep buddy isn't going to be fun"?  But I was thinking "what the heck, no way that is only a year a way".

She picked oatmeal and english muffins for first day of school breakfast.

She was a complete rock star.  It totally helped that she knew everyone and everyone knew her from last year with Owen.  She was over the top excited and mommy only got a little emotional.  I didn't sob uncontrollably like last year with Owen;) She is such a BRAVE, BIG, SWEET, BEAUTY girl.

 

 After we dropped Claire off, Owen and I went and had coffee/cocoa and a giant M&M cookie.  Then we snapped a couple self pics.  Overlook the goofy mama and check out my cute little man being silly.

 
...DANCE CLASS

So adorable!  She had her first dance class and she LOVED it.  There are 5 little girls in her class and none of them wanted to leave the studio after class.  The next class practically had to kick them out. She had already taken her slippers off when I got a chance to get these pics.  More feet close ups to come:)

Preschool Orientation for TWO!

We are so READY for school. Claire and Owen had their orientation today. They put away all their supplies in their cubby's, met their teachers, met their classmates, and had a little fun too:).

 They had some together time in Owen's classroom.

We found their behavior charts.

 Owen showed Claire the ropes on the playground.

Then we snapped a "practice" shot for tomorrow.  Claire's first day is tomorrow and Owen's is Friday.

Clayton's 1st - Owen's 5th BIRTHDAY PARTY

Because these kiddos Birthdays are only 2 days apart we decided to have a joint party.  It was a Monkey /Monster Jam Party and it turned out GREAT!  What a fun day with lots of family and friends.

 

 

 Oh man I can't believe my baby is 5!

 

Claire was a little spoiled by everyone too.  She's telling Great Aunt Molly thanks for the hair pretties.

Wesport - Sunday/Monday

Sunday was a rainy, rainy day.  We decided to hit the town of Wesport.  We checked out the light house, had lunch in a rain/windstorm and stopped in at the ice cream shop. FUN, FUN, FUN!

Claire and Mayli decided they needed to ride together on this outing.

Monday we woke up to nice weather again so it was back to the beach before we all headed home.

What a GREAT weekend, looking forward to next year!!
